Carl A. Schlosser grew up in Santa Barbara, graduating Dos Pueblos HS. He attended Revelle College at U.C. San Diego, graduating with honors in Biology. He loved San Diego so much, he stayed for another 4 years, graduating from U.C.S.D. School of Medicine with his M.D. degree. He served his internship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver where he met his wife, Jane. He then completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center In San Antonio, Texas. He has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1989.
Dr. Schlosser has practiced medicine in Lompoc since 1988. He has served as Chief of Staff of Lompoc District Hospital and is a board member of the Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Santa Barbara County Medical Society, and is on active staff at the Lompoc Valley Medical Center.
Dr. Schlosser enjoys all aspects of primary care, especially preventative medicine,Women’s healthcare, taking care of children ( many of whom he has delivered), urgent care, minor surgery,and dermatology. He loves practicing medicine in a small community where patients are often neighbors and friends.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Schlosser may be found surfing at Jalama, bicycling the beautiful Central Coast,or spending time with his three children.
